Like-New Order
During the 90s I sold a lot of my records from the 80s on ebay, thinking I would never listen to them again. Ten-plus years later I realize I do indeed want to hear them again. Most of the records I sold I've been able to replace with digital copies from the sharity blogs, but when that avenue proves fruitless I'm gradually getting actual physical replacements. So it is with the "Love Dance" 12-inch single by The Bridge, a one-off record by Paul Bell who, if discogs.com is to be believed, went on to front Zerra One. I just got it in the mail, one of my latest scores from Platters That Matter Records. "Love Dance" has two mixes of the same song: the 8-minute Love Mix on the A-side, and the shorter, vocal-less Industrial Mix on the B-side.
I trimmed about three minutes off, but I think you get the picture. Is that not the most blatant New Order ripoff you've ever heard? With the possible exception of Secession's "Touch"--
What other New Order clones were there?
