The Yachts definitely had more than the average share of good, lasting songs. Contrast to, say, The Records, a band whose "greatest hits" I picked up perhaps 10 years ago. "Starry Eyes" was one of those anomalies--the rest of their tracks are weak and sound little like that gem. How many other "one hit wonders," I wonder, have a remainder of their catalog that sounds nothing like the one big song? Let's see, there's Chumbawumba, and I know many people who picked up the Outkast CD for that one hooky little dance-y number... boy was the rest of that double album a piece of shit ("sheer genius," sure, of foisting that crap on the unsuspecting buying public).
